The Mendip Nature Research Station at Wells Hill Bottom is a spacious
purpose built centre situated on the B3135 Cheddar road, high on the Mendip
Hills. It is within easy reach of the major Mendip caves, and of course
the pubs. The station consists of a fully equipped kitchen, common/dining
room, library, laboratory, ladies and gents toilets, hot showers/changing
rooms, member and guest dormitories sleeping 13 and 15/6 respectively,
extensive campsite and car park. Members may use the station at any time,
but guests and associate members must book in advance.
Since the 2006 AGM the Mendip Nature
Research Station has been non-smoking throughout.
